The V5-engine
Tornevall Networks V5-engine (TornevallWEB v5) is a complete rewrite of an old concept, that obviously has failed too many times. For the moment TornevallWEB v5 is only in a planning state and a halfway done version 4 is actually online. But after a major hardware failure... Or, not really major, but there was a great power loss of the master server in december 2015 that forced Tornevall Networks in a "surprise mode" (well, we could have seen it come since the server was a few years old). In a few hours a new machine, based on Ubuntu - not Slackware which we always has been a great fan of - and the work of rebuilding the platform was taken place. Realizing this should not help for long, the decision was made: TornevallWEB v5 should replace v4, with ideas from the upcoming project TorneAPI v2.
There's a lot of work to do, and the project tracker are currently being updated with what's really going on. The plans are listed below.
