Data scraping notice
Since data-scraping is an important rule of many social medias todays (meaning, you are not allowed to download and store data if a chosen user wants it deleted), this is an important issue for all our plugins and applications.
This rule can amongst others be found in the TOS of Facebook.
A cookie is a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. It helps the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and other settings. That can make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you. Cookies play an important role. Without them, using the web would be a much more frustrating experience.
- Your privacy is important. We do not sell any information about you, as many other companies do even when they say that they do.
- We do not, however, work like that. If we need to store your data, it will stay here. Since we use Facebook API's it is also very important to know that we follow the terms of Facebook and the tools we're builing to syncronize information with Facebook is programmed to work as a "on demand"-service. This means that, if you delete things on Facebook that are synced with our services, the data will be removed from our storages too, unless you've not asked to keep them (this is especially bound to the eventual upcoming project "track my posts", that will keep track of your posts (hopefully)).
- We do not store usernames, realnames, cookies and/or ip-adresses in a way that could be used for user-tracing. In cases like Project BBVote/Votech we only store ip-addresses to keep track of things that can help creators of polls preventing cheat, etc
Etc. If you need us to add something of importance here, please let us know.
